Practical Tips for your visit

Having been to The Essential Baby and Toddler Show a few times, here are some practical tips to help you get the most out of your experience:

– Wear comfortable shoes. There is so much to see and do, and you are going to want to get around and see it all. Don’t let your shoe choices hold you back

– Bring a bag. You will get given sooooo much cool stuff. Bring a bag along to carry it all.

– Plan your day. Utilise the info that they send out early and plan your way around the show. It is HUGE and there is heaps to take in. Stop and chat with the people on the stands, they are there to help you!

– Listen to the speakers. There is a wealth of information available for free – take a break and listen to some real mums (and dads) dish some real home truths on all sorts of tricky topics.

– Keep an eye out for bargains. Lots of brands will be running special deals during the show, so keep an eye out for all the deals to be had.

– Book your tickets ASAP – not only is there a limited time to get them for free – but the sooner you register the sooner you go into the draw for over $20,000 worth of prizes!

– Consider baby wearing if you are bringing your baby with you. One Mum in our group suggested this – and we think it is a great tip!

My personal experiences at The Essential Baby and Toddler Show

Interestingly enough, I have been lucky to be both a stall holder and an attendee.

I remember going as a first time Mum and really loving the chance to see, feel and test out all the different products on offer. Some of them I had never heard of before!

It was also an awesome opportunity to really get face to face with so many businesses that I had only seen online previously. We also loved all of the ‘special deals’ that were on offer just for show attendees!

As a stall holder, we just loved meeting so many local mums and connecting in real life. What I learnt from having a stall at The Essential Baby and Toddler Show is that all of the different brands, big or small, just want to connect with, and help you. No one is going after the ‘hard sell’ so don’t be afraid to talk to people!

What Mums of Brisbane are saying!

But don’t just take our word for it – we asked in our group what Mums love about The Essential Baby and Toddler show, here are some of the highlights:

‘I was surprised at how much I got out of it- so many products that I had decided ahead of time to get and managed to get them at reduced prices at the expo. Also, the presentations from midwives were really informative.’

We loved all the different things, like the hand and foot printing on to mugs, new eco nappies we wouldn’t have known about otherwise, the special deals and all the free samples. We also still have his Panadol teething ring which at the time you could only get at the expo. I think in the midst of pregnancy insomnia the other night I signed up for free tickets to the show here in Brisbane as bub #2 will arrive in the next few weeks. Can’t wait!

We went to our first baby show when I was pregnant with my first bubba. Had no idea what we were doing so seeing the different car seats and prams etc was awesome.

‘Loved the amount of free samples I got. Great discounts too. It was well put together and would help any mum to be when it comes to prams, car seats and skin products

I loved all of the samples, it was great getting to try so many products I wouldn’t have considered before trying samples – I didn’t swap to every brand that offered samples but I’ve been able to recommend some of those products I sampled to other mums.

I also loved the new smaller businesses that had their products at reduced prices. I have found so many great products that work well, helping other mums has been an added bonus.

It was also really great being able to scan my phone and get emails with more information on the companies. Some products I didn’t pay much attention to on the day with all of the crowds but months (even years) later I’ve seen an email and that product has just caught my attention and I’ve ordered (and usually loved) it.’
