The Laundry Lady – Recruiting Now!

Are you looking for a flexible role that you can do from home?

No qualifications needed, and you can get started almost straight away. The hours are flexible, and can be built around the school run, or toddlers sleep times!

You are in charge of the hours you work!

I love that I can earn a full time wage from home in my own time. I am an active member of the p and c at my children’s school and volunteer at the tuckshop and I am free to attend all their sporting events and meetings. Being with The Laundry Lady has given me the freedom to earn a living around my family. I wouldn’t do anything else!!

Paula (A Laundry Lady)

The Laundry Lady is a business founded and owned by Susan, a mum who lives on the Sunshine Coast. She started The Laundry Lady in 2012 and it is an on demand laundry washing service that comes to you!

When Susan contacted Mums of Brisbane, I just knew that this role would be perfect for a stay at home mum, or a mum who wanted to take on some extra work. It offers freedom and flexibility, plus a great working environment – your own home!

The best thing is, bookings are taken via The Laundry Lady website, so no phone calls to answer or return, and you can choose your own availability.

The best thing about working as a Laundry Lady is that I have the freedom and convenience to design my own work week. I can pick and choose my hours and my days of availability which means I am always available for my daughter and can work around her Kindy days. There is no marketing involved, no phone calls – it’s all booked online and payment is made weekly into my bank account. So the only work involved is the actual ironing and washing, which we all have to do anyway!

Claire (A Laundry Lady)

The Laundry Lady is currently recruiting in Inner North and South Brisbane!

The Laundry Lady is currently recruiting! After successfully integrating into the Gold Coast and in some areas of Brisbane, and with long term ‘Laundry Ladies’ there, The Laundry Lady is now looking to expand further into Brisbane and the surrounding areas, and they need YOU!

If you are interested in this flexible role, a role that you can fit around your family life, there are some basic requirements, you will need to:

  • have a reliable medium to large sized (tall) car
  • have a smartphone with data plan
  • obtain police certificate and insurance
  • be available for morning or afternoon pickups and deliveries (school hours is fine and you can select the days and timeslots)
  • have an ABN
  • have a steam iron, and/or washing machine and dryer
  • Some startup costs applicable

Ideally, they would be looking for a self motivated ‘laundry lady’ to look after a specific area of Brisbane each. Clothes are picked up, washed and ironed, and returned within a 24 hour time period.

Right now they need the following areas covered:

Bowen Hills – East Brisbane – Fortitude Valley – Herston – Highgate Hill – Kangaroo Point – Kelvin Grove – New Farm – Newstead – Paddington – Petrie Terrace – Red Hill – South Brisbane – Spring Hill – Teneriffe – West End – Woolloongabba

Even better? The knowledge that you will be helping busy families and making their lives easier!
