Catherine is a fully qualified Infant & Child Sleep Consultant and is also qualified in Infant, Childhood and Adolescent Nutrition. Catherine has trained and worked with many other consultants and through 10 years of experience has developed a unique approach to sleep issues. Her method is extremely successful and incorporates her research into foods that can cause sleep issues.
Catherine is a mother of 3 and has personally experienced most of the issues she encounters when working with families and their babies and toddlers. From premature births, tongue ties and reflux to allergies and post natal depression – she has been there. All her children at one point catnapped, rose early, night woke, encountered foods that affected their sleep and had bedtime struggles.
Catherine doesn’t consider the way she works as ‘sleep training’ because there is so much she does to optimise your little one’s chances for good sleep before even working on settling. This means that when we do take a settling method (and there is a wide range available and it’s always the family’s choice), it goes much more smoothly and sees very quick results.
I highly recommend Catherine for anyone having sleep issues with their little one. She has helped my 6 month old go to sleep on her own, without using me as a dummy day and night. “Dream Winks really does take a unique approach to Sleep & Settling. For starters, settling comes last. So if it comes last what comes before that?
‘Each child is different’ and this is the cornerstone to my approach when it comes to Sleep & Settling. It is important to take a look at the big picture for each family and child. This allows me to fully understand your individual issues and how we need to approach things. I take a science-based, holistic approach that I have developed through my experience over the past ten years. I believe that when it comes to sleep, research and training is all well and good, but nothing beats experience and learning from having worked with thousands of families with every issue imaginable.
I look at such a wide range of factors when approaching sleep issues. This includes feeding, both milk feeds and solids for older babies. I look at nutrition and dietary requirements but also the range of foods that can cause sleep issues. Sleep environment is such a wide-ranging factor and I go into minute detail here. Routine and sleep patterns are also key, as well as any sleep aids used and how your child currently settles. I tailor everything to your little one’s temperament and to your parenting style. I feel my approach is very baby-led as I look at what they are telling me from the very beginning and make changes along the way based on how they respond to what we are doing
So many families see great results just from these changes before any settling.
What comes next?
Once I have worked thoroughly through everything, then I look at a settling method. I work with a range of methods and will recommend multiple approaches based on your little one’s temperament and on your parenting style. I will walk you through each one in order for you to be able to choose the best fit for you and your little one
Because we have left settling to last it goes so much easier than most parents expect and because it is personally chosen for your child they usually respond really well and you will start to see results all around. There may be some tweaking required to get everything working as you want it but I am right there with you for support.”

Dream Winks Help and Support doesn’t stop with the consultation.
Catherine is right there with you from intake form, sleep plan and consultation and it doesn’t stop there. She provides full support for a minimum of 2 weeks to keep working on things, tweak anything based on what your child is telling her, support when you are right in the middle of settling or how to adjust things when things don’t go to plan. Catherine makes herself available to her clients via email and messenger so you can get help right away when you need it. At the end of your consult, you will not only have a child who is sleeping so much better, but you will have learnt how to read them yourself and to know what changes to make in the future and when.
Catherine has given us amazing support and guidance in teaching our 5-month-old son to self-settle and getting us all a good night’s sleep. We really appreciated her consideration of all issues impacting on our son’s sleep, her thorough and detailed plan and attentive follow up support. The information about nutrition was also very helpful and we successfully started our son on solids which he loves. Dream Winks Consultations
All of Dream Winks’ Packages include the same help and support. The difference between each is how the initial consultation is carried out. For each consultation, you will receive an intake form and sleep log which allows her to see your family’s big picture. From here Catherine will form an individualised sleep plan for you. You will also receive the many guides she has published on all the relevant topics
All consults also come with full support for a minimum of 2 weeks via email and messenger. Having Catherine on the end of a message up to and including the first part of the night is invaluable! She can answer any questions, keep working on changes to see the results you are after or just provide much-needed support right when you need it!
These are perfect if you feel like you need direction and are confident in carrying out recommendations and changes with Catherine’s support. It also means families can get help wherever they are worldwide.
Catherine will take you step by step through the sleep plan, what her recommendations are and how to implement them. She will also answer all your questions.
Phone consults are typically 1 hour long.
3-4 hour Daytime Visit
These are perfect for younger babies and families who are experiencing lots of daytime issues. Catherine will come prior to a sleep time and go step by step through the sleep plan, explain her recommendations and how to implement them. She will also answer all your questions. Catherine will conduct a more detailed assessment of your sleep environment for both sleep and safety.
Catherine will then help you and demonstrate how to settle and resettle your little one for their day sleep.
3 hour Evening Visit
This is perfect for families experiencing overnight sleep issues. Catherine comes before bedtime in the evening and goes step by step through the sleep plan, her recommendations and how to implement them. She will also answer all your questions. Catherine will conduct a more detailed assessment of your sleep environment for both sleep and safety.
She will then help you with your bedtime routine and demonstrate how to settle your child to sleep for the evening which is often the hardest part of the day. Catherine will also be there as your little one passes through their first sleep cycle if you need help resettling them.
This can be great for families who feel they need hands-on help but are then confident in carrying it out through the night
Catherine Offers ½ night and full night packages which are good for more complex issues and families who feel they need that extra support. Catherine will come before bedtime in the evening and go step by step through the sleep plan, her recommendations and how to implement them. She will also answer all your questions. Catherine will conduct a more detailed assessment of your sleep environment for both sleep and safety.
Catherine will then help you with your bedtime routine and demonstrate how to settle your child to sleep for the evening which is often the hardest part of the day. She will also be there as your little one passes through their first sleep cycle if you need help resettling them and for any overnight settling and support you need
