Breastfeeding Dresses That Aren’t Maternity Clothes

After having three babies, I have spent my fair share of time in maternity and breastfeeding clothes.

Something I started to notice was that a lot of the maternity dresses that you wear as your belly grows, are also the same clothes that you are expected to wear when you are nursing a baby.

The cut of a lot of clothes I purchased was designed for when you are pregnant, whereas I was looking for something to suit my new mummy body, that also had easy access for breastfeeding.

As summer approaches I have put together for you my favourite breastfeeding dresses that do not have the maternity clothes feel.

The Thea Maxi

I love this one as it comes in heaps of gorgeous patterns. It is super comfy and is perfect for the nursing mum with its discreet easy access.

The drawstring maxi dress design is stylish enough to be casual to wear during the day, or you can dress it up with some jewellery for more formal events.

Seraphine Vanya Nursing Dress

This is the perfect A-line style for the post-pregnancy body. It has a v-neckline, attached side ties, and a single front button gives the illusion of a layered inverse pleat.

In order to nurse you simply unbutton the outer layer to access nursing openings on the inner layer.

Whilst this is great in summer, it can also form a part of your winter wardrobe too by adding some tights.

Linnea Amazon Print Maxi Dress

I love, love, love this print! The tropical Amazon-patterned nursing dress with palm green leaf print is one of my faves. It includes rope belt and just feels great to wear.

Lavender Field Nursing Dress

This dress is a great one for everyday wear. It is simple and elegant. You can wear it on its own or match it with with a blazer or cardigan in cooler weather.

Chambray Shirt Dress

I love this one because it is a different look than most dresses you would envisage seeing as breastfeeding clothes. It is really versatile, and is great for summer at the beach or even a work function. Oh and we cannot forget to add that it has pockets. Who doesn’t love a dress with pockets!

Blossom Knot Front Nursing Dress

Want to feel like a princess? This is the dress for you. Worn by the Duchess of Cambridge, this nursing dress is the perfect choice for a summer day. This dress is so flattering and features a pretty floral design.

Elegantly knotted at the empire line this dress will drape beautifully over your curves. The deep v neckline provides easy breastfeeding access.

Hawaiian Delight

This is another really fun design for summer. If you can’t be on a beach in Hawaii sipping cocktails then this dress is the next best thing. Well not quite, but it does add a little island style to your day.

Peachymama dresses are all designed to shape your after-baby body.
